Sauna by the sea near Sirens beach

I am writing to formally request that the Municipality of Ayia Napa examine a commercial activity currently taking place at Ayia Thekla Beach, which falls under your municipal jurisdiction.

a mobile trailer (wagon) has been placed directly on the beach and is being used as a wood-fired sauna facility. Members of the public are invited via online advertising to use this facility in exchange for payment.

Based on direct observation, I would like to raise the following concerns:

• The trailer appears to be a structure placed on the public beach (foreshore area).
• The activity is commercial in nature and open to the public.
• There is no toilet facility within the trailer, nor any public toilet in the immediate vicinity available to clients.
• It is unclear whether any permit has been granted for the placement of a structure on the beach or for the provision of this type of service.

As public beaches are protected areas and commercial activities normally require specific authorisation and compliance with sanitation and public-health requirements, I respectfully request confirmation of whether:
1. Permission has been granted for the placement of this trailer at the above location.
2. The operator holds a valid licence to provide paid services on Ayia Thekla Beach.
3. The operation has been inspected and approved by the relevant sanitary and health authorities, particularly in relation to the absence of toilet facilities.

I kindly ask the Municipality to investigate this matter and take any action deemed necessary in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
